The Bak Industries have released a series of hard folding tonneau covers which provide flexibility without compromising security of your truck bed and cargo.  The Bakflip HD, G2 and the newest Bakflip F1 tonneau cover promise full access to your truck bed while providing the best protection against the harshest weather conditions as well as from theft with their latch system which prevents access to the truck bed without opening the tailgate.  These tonneau covers are also very easy to install and uninstall, taking you about 30 minutes or less to set up.  However, each model has its distinct features, designed to benefit any type of pickup truck owner.

The Bakflip G2 is the first of the series.  This tonneau cover comes with a honeycomb core panel which is laminated with aluminum.  This design allows you to carry about 200 pounds of equally distributed weight on the tonneau cover, giving you extra space to carry around a bicycle on your tonneau cover.  The second in the series is the Bakflip HD.  This tonneau cover is lighter than the G2 tonneau cover and it is made of all aluminum panels.  This tonneau cover can support up to 300 pounds and is baked with a powder-coat finish, making it very durable and impact resistant.

The newest member of theBakflip folding tonneau series is the Bakflip F1 tonneau covers.  These folding tonneau covers are made with Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer (FRP) which makes them more durable and impact resistant than their predecessors.  The Bakflip F1 can accommodate up to 400 pounds of equally distributed weight, and comes with a coat of UV protected black finish, making it cool to touch, even after hours of harsh sun exposure.  However, the Bakflip F1tonneau cover is the lightest among the three models, weighing only 50 pounds while the G2 and HD are 60 and 55 pounds respectively.

However, all Bakflip hard folding tonneau covers come with the signature “Living Hinge” system.  This system consists of industrial grade rubber seals, designed to keep water out of the truck bed and your cargo.  They also come with locking arms, an exclusive feature only available with Bakflip folding tonneau covers, which allow you to travel with the tonneau cover folded all the way up against the truck’s rear cab window.  This gives you more space, thus allowing you to haul larger cargo, compared to other folding tonneau covers.  Lastly, these folding tonneau covers with Tamper Proof Latching system, which allows zero access to your truck bed without opening the tailgate.  This means, there are no visible locks, keyholes and latches which could be bypassed easily.  And you won’t have to fumble for the tonneau cover keys just to have access to your truck bed.
